Hydra Dx
HydraDx has developed a patented, volumetric saliva collection device. The device collects a predetermined volume within 30 seconds, measuring saliva secretion rate in a point of care setting. The quantitative collection method employs sensor array technology in a single-use device. Collection is gland-specific and can measure low secretion rates.

Saliva secretion rate correlates with human hydration status as well as disease states such as Sjögren's syndrome, Dental, and hypo-salivation due to prescription drug use.

Our hydration measurement is further augmented by measuring the concentration of at least one salivary analyte (IgA, albumin, aldosterone, etc.) using a proprietary immunochromatographic technique. Saliva secretion may be unstimulated or stimulated. Saliva is analyzed to generate a visual signal correlative with analyte concentration.
